Danaher Corporation

First the first 35 years of its history, Danaher was an industrial conglomerate focused on manufacturing, but made a strategic pivot to specialize in life science and diagnostics in the late 2010s. My remit was to help Danaher connect to the innovation ecosystem — i.e., academia, venture capital and biopharma — through compelling content that demonstrated Danaher’s ability to solve industry-level challenges through collaboration and integration.

This work resulted in over 25 pieces of impactful content across their website, LinkedIn, YouTube and trusted media sites. Here are some of my favorites:

This STAT First Opinion article interweaved several core Danaher messages and set the stage for the announcement a new diagnostic development initiative.

This article on Danaher’s website links one of the biggest stories healthcare (the development of the world’s first personalized CRISPR therapy for Baby KJ Muldoon) to Danaher’s signature business methodology and was the basis for this successful Fierce Innovation Award application.

My collaborator, Hannah Krakauer, and I created this LinkedIn series, called “Dear Danaher” to bring a human voice to complex issues around personalized medicine, bioprocessing, and more.

These interviews with Danaher’s academic collaborators, building improved HER2 diagnostics and creating novel cell therapies, highlight the power of industry-academia collaborations for facilitating the transfer of new technologies into real world products.
